Chinese assisted reproductive technology company Suzhou Basecare Medical Corporation Limited (Basecare) and world-leading fertility group Genea signed an agreement in SIP on July 4 to launch strategic cooperation.

The agreement marks another milestone in the collaboration of the two companies following Basecare spent US$40 million acquiring Genea Biomedx, Genea’s high-end medical devices arm in Singapore.

Based in SIP, Basecare will manufacture Genea Biomedx’s Geri® embryo incubator, Gems® culture medium suite, Gavi® automated verification instrument and Gidget ® electronic witnessing system which were launched at the signing ceremony.

These products will enrich Basecare’s product lineup, and Genea Biomedx’s global marketing network and experience will help Basecare expand the global market share of its independently developed products.
